This class begins with 30-40 minutes of Yin Yoga postures and ends with a guided Meditation.
Yin is the perfect compliment to your more active and energizing or flowing (Yang) practices. Yin yoga will relax your body to help release the connective tissues to create a counter balance with long, passive holds to work into the deeper connective tissues of the body.
Meditation has been proven to reduce stress, lessen anxiety, help to lower blood pressure, increase beneficial sleep patterns, and expand a deeper connection with oneself and others. Whether you have been meditating for years or are brand new to meditation, this weekly group provides you a place to practice in a supportive environment and community.
This class is suitable for all ages, abilities & physical conditions and will complement other active practices such as our FreshFlow classes. This class is practiced in an unheated room and all levels are welcome. Carrie (your guide and Yoga Fresh yoga teacher) has been meditating for 25 years and is a member of the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center where she teaches an Introduction to Meditation class.
