Hatha + Meditation

This hatha-based practice blends asana (posture) with pranyama (breathing techniques) to fine tune elements of your practice by exploring beginner-intermediate postures in a safe and sustainable way. This class begins to explore the connections between yoga postures and yoga philosophy, to broaden your appreciation and understanding of yoga.

We will also explore different meditation techniques in this class including guided relaxation and body and breath awareness in seated and reclined positions for you to cultivate mindfulness.  Meditation can help improve sleep, focus and the immune system while easing anxiety, stress, depression and pain.  This class is practiced in an unheated room and all levels are welcome.
