FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE. WHERE DO I START?

There are several ways for people to get started with yoga & barre at YogaFresh.  First, visit our NEW TO YOGAFRESH page to view a list of all the class options suitable for beginners or those getting back into a practice. If you haven’t already, click ‘Sign In’ from the top right corner of the website. If this is your first time signing in, create your Account using the same email address you used on your first studio visit. If you’re signed in and still unable to reserve a class, chances are the class is full and you’ll need to join the waitlist. If you’re still having trouble contact us.

YogaFresh also offers a monthly Yoga for Beginners Workshop & quarterly Breaking Down Barre Burn Workshop. These workshops offer new students the basics to help them understand the different styles of yoga available at our studio or the basics of a YF Barre Burn practice. You can learn more about our workshop offerings here

DO I NEED TO PRE-REGISTER FOR CLASS?

Yes, you will need to reserve your spot by pre-registering online prior to class to join any of our YF offerings. We will not be allowing any walk-ins to our classes at this time to allow for proper social distancing during every class and to help maintain the health and safety of our teachers and students. Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin to allow for time to sign in and get situated

HOW DO I PRE-REGISTER FOR CLASS?

To pre-register for class, visit our schedule on our website. Please note that YogaFresh offers both IN-STUDIO and LIVESTREAM (online) class options for you to join as is denoted in the class title. In-studio classes have limited space and pre-registration for all classes will close 5 minutes prior to the scheduled class start time. Please select the class you would like to attend to make your reservation and select “Sign Up”. You will then be prompted to either sign into your existing YF account using the same email address used on your first visit (for members, package holders or any student that have previously attended a class at YF) or create a new YF account if this will be your first time signing in or joining us at YogaFresh. Make sure that you’re “opted in” to receive any important updates for your registration.

HOW MANY CLASSES CAN I PRE REGISTER FOR?

You can reserve up to 4 classes on the schedule at any given time and class times can not overlap.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

To offer all students an opportunity to attend class while our class sizes are limited, YogaFresh requires that you cancel any registrations online at least 2 or more hours before the class is scheduled to begin. No exceptions. Any reservations made within 2 hours of the class start time cannot be cancelled without incurring a late cancel/no show fee equal to one single class or $22 that will be charged to your credit card on file.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?

Sign into your YF account and select ‘My Schedule’. Next, select ‘cancel’ next to the reserved class and confirm you would like to cancel the class.

I'M ON THE WAIT LIST FOR CLASS, NOW WHAT?

When class is full with pre registrations, we will hold 5 spots on the waitlist. If you are moved from the waitlist and into class, you will receive an email notification confirming your updated reservation. Make sure that you’re opted in to receive any class or workshop notifications that pertain to your reservations as all wait list notifications are sent via email.

If you need to cancel, you must do so before the 2 hour cancellation window expires or be charged for the class as if you had attended. We will not move you from the waitlist and into a class reservation after our cancellation window of 2 hours prior to class closes.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CLASS?

YogaFresh is temporarily a BYOP (Bring Your Own Props) studio. Please plan to bring your own yoga mat for all classes. Other helpful items include: a towel, reusable water bottle and any props that are specific to your personal practice or class format (such as blocks, blankets, bolsters, balls, bands, straps etc). YF sells yoga mats and quality yoga props in the YF Boutique 15 minutes before all scheduled classes.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear comfortable clothes that breathe and allow you to move freely. For women we recommend stretchy pants or shorts and a tank top. For men we recommend shorts or trunks and a T shirt. And don’t worry about shoes, yoga is practiced barefoot.

IS IT SAFE TO DO YOGA IF I HAVE AN INJURY OR MEDICAL CONDITION?

In most cases the answer to that question is yes. In fact yoga is excellent way to support the body in its healing process. However, you will want to inform your doctor or health care provider before you begin your practice, and be sure to let your teacher know what is going on so they can address your specific needs. Some great class options to promote healing and relaxation are: Soma Yoga, Restorative Yoga + Nidra, Yin Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Unplug Meditation & HOT Yoga.

I JUST FOUND OUT I AM PREGNANT. SHOULD I DO YOGA OR BARRE?

Yoga and barre are both great options to support your body and the newly forming body of your child. There are some precautions however, so you will want to let your doctor and your teacher know that you are pregnant (especially if you are in your first trimester). YogaFresh also offers a weekly prenatal/postnatal yoga class which address the specific needs of pregnant woman.
