FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I HAVE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE. WHERE DO I START?
There are several ways for people to get started with yoga at YogaFresh.  First, be sure to check our class schedule and look for classes that are labeled “Beginner” or All Levels. These classes are suitable for beginners. YogaFresh also offers a monthly workshop called Yoga for Beginners. This workshop is designed to give new students the basics and help them understand the different styles of yoga available at our studio. You can learn more about this workshop and other suggestions to help you begin by clicking here.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear comfortable clothes that breathe and allow you to move freely. For women we recommend stretchy pants or shorts and a tank top. For men we recommend shorts or trunks and a T shirt. And don’t worry about shoes,  yoga is practiced barefoot.

DO I NEED TO CALL AHEAD OR SIGN UP FOR CLASS?
We try to keep our class sizes smaller to make sure that our teachers are best able to serve our students and so we encourage pre-registration prior to class to accommodate everyone and save your spot in class.   Click on the “Sign Up Now” button to pre-register for your class.  While all of our classes are drop-in friendly (when space is available) please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the class of your choice to allow time to sign in and get situated.  We have a 2-hour cancellation policy for all pre-registered classes and you must log in to make a cancellation or call and leave us a voicemail before the 2 hour cancellation window expires or be charged for the class as if you had attended.

I’M ON THE WAIT LIST FOR CLASS, NOW WHAT?
Please check your email the day of class as all wait list notifications are sent via email.   That email is your confirmation that you have a spot in the class. If you need to cancel, you must do so before the 2 hour cancellation window expires or be charged for the class as if you had attended.

ARE THERE AGE LIMITS FOR YOUR CLASSES?
The minimum age required to practice at YF is 12 years old. Students are not permitted to practice without their parent or guardian present and students between the ages of 12 – 15 are not permitted to attend heated classes. Non-heated classes appropriate for students between the ages of 12-15 are Yoga FreshFlow, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Yoga Nidra Flow, Happy Backs and Hatha Fusion.  To attend heated classes, students must be 16 years of age and all minors (under 18) must have a parent signed waiver prior to practicing (the parent or guardian must sign the waiver in person at a studio).  YF also offers Kids Yoga classes specifically intended for younger yogis ages 4-9.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CLASS?
If you have them, bring a yoga mat, towel and water bottle. Mats may be rented for $1 or purchased in the YF boutique. Bottled water is also available for purchase as well.
